Coastal Waters Forecast for South Australia

for the period until midnight CST Sunday 12 April 2026.

Weather Situation

A low pressure trough will move across SA on Thursday followed by a cold front in the south. The trough and front will clear to the east during Friday morning. Another trough will move across waters to the south during Friday then a high pressure system will move across waters south of WA on Saturday to be centred over the Bight on Sunday. This high will move slowly eastwards early next week and a weak cold front will move over southern coastal areas.

Far West Coast: WA-SA Border to Fowlers Bay

Forecast for Thursday 9 April until midnight

Winds: Southwesterly 15 to 20 knots, reaching up to 25 knots offshore in the evening. Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres, increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres by early evening. Swell: Southwesterly 2.5 to 3 metres. Weather: Partly cloudy.
