Weather Situation

A broad trough extends from Shark Bay to Esperance and begins moving eastwards from Wednesday. A new ridge will strengthen from the west in the wake of the trough as a cold front and low pressure system move over the Southern Ocean, bringing increased winds to the southern districts late in the week.

Ningaloo Coast: North West Cape to Cape Cuvier

Forecast for Tuesday 28 April until midnight

Winds: Variable below 10 knots. Seas: Below 0.5 metres. Swell: Southwesterly 1.5 metres inshore, increasing to 2 metres offshore. Weather: Mostly clear.

Forecast for Wednesday 29 April

Winds: Variable below 10 knots. Seas: Below 0.5 metres. Swell: Southwesterly 1 to 1.5 metres inshore, increasing to 2 metres offshore. Weather: Partly cloudy.

Forecast for Thursday 30 April

Winds: Southeast to southwesterly 10 to 15 knots tending southeasterly in the morning then tending southerly 15 to 20 knots in the early afternoon. Seas: Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore south of Coral Bay by early evening. Swell: Southwesterly 1 to 1.5 metres inshore, increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres offshore.
