HURRICANE FORCE WIND WARNING FOR NORTH EASTERN AREA

SITUATION
At 1200 UTC Severe Tropical Cyclone Narelle was centred within 15 nautical
miles of
 latitude thirteen decimal seven south (13.7S)
 longitude one hundred and forty five decimal five east (145.5E)
Recent movement : west at 11 knots
Maximum winds   : 120 knots
Central pressure: 925 hPa

AREA AFFECTED
Within 90 nautical miles in NE quadrant
  and within 90 nautical miles in SE quadrant
  and within 90 nautical miles in SW quadrant
  and within 80 nautical miles in NW quadrant.

FORECAST
Maximum winds to 120 knots near the centre.

Winds above 64 knots within 35 nautical miles of centre until 0600 UTC 20 March
with very high to phenomenal seas.

Winds above 48 knots within 50 nautical miles of centre with high seas and
moderate swell.

Winds above 34 knots within 90 nautical miles in NE quadrant
  and within 90 nautical miles in SE quadrant
  and within 90 nautical miles in SW quadrant
  and within 80 nautical miles in NW quadrant with very rough seas and moderate
swell.

eastern Cape York Peninsula coast

western Cape York Peninsula coast
                        Central pressure 990 hPa.
                        Winds to 50 knots near centre.
