STORM FORCE WIND WARNING

Please be aware, wind gusts can be a further 40 percent stronger than the
averages given here, and maximum waves may be up to twice the height.

SITUATION
At 1200 UTC a Tropical Low was centred within 20 nautical miles of
 latitude thirteen decimal seven south (13.7S)
 longitude one hundred and nineteen decimal four east (119.4E)
Recent movement : south at 6 knots
Maximum winds   : 35 knots
Central pressure: 998 hPa
The low is expected to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 18 to 24
hours..

AREA AFFECTED
Within 40 nautical miles of the centre.

FORECAST
Maximum winds to 35 knots near the centre increasing to 60 knots by 1200 UTC 29
December.

Winds above 34 knots within 20 nautical miles in NE quadrant, extending to 40
nautical miles by 1800 UTC 28 December
  and within 40 nautical miles in SE, SW and NW quadrants by 1800 UTC 28
December with rough seas and moderate swell.

Winds above 48 knots within 25 nautical miles of centre from 0000 UTC 29
December with very rough to high seas and moderate swell.

Forecast positions
At 0000 UTC 29 December: Within 40 nautical miles of 14.7 south 119.6 east
                        Central pressure 989 hPa.
                        Winds to 50 knots near centre.
At 1200 UTC 29 December: Within 55 nautical miles of 15.8 south 120.1 east
                        Central pressure 982 hPa.
                        Winds to 60 knots near centre.
