STORM FORCE WARNING 2 FOR SOUTHEASTERN AND SOUTHERN AREAS

SITUATION AT 190000UTC
Vigorous flow associated with trough 49S152E 55S157E. Forecast 53S157E 54S161E
at 190600UTC, then near 48S163E 53S167E at 191200UTC and east of area
thereafter.

AREA AFFECTED
Bounded by 50S145E 57S148E 57S160E 42S162E 44S147E 50S145E.

FORECAST
Southwesterly quarter winds initially throughout the area, contracting to east
of 155E after 191200UTC. Wind speeds 34/47 knots, increasing to 45/55 knots
within 240nm north of trough. Winds easing below 48 knots throughout by
190900UTC, and easing below 34 knots throughout by 191500UTC. Very rough to
high seas, rising to very high seas with storm force winds. Moderate to heavy
swell.

than the forecast, and stronger still in squalls and thunderstorms. Maximum
waves can be twice the forecast height.
