GALE WIND WARNING 8 FOR WESTERN, SOUTHEASTERN, AND SOUTHERN AREAS

SITUATION AT 171800UTC
Vigorous flow associated with trough 44S151E 48S152E to low 965hPa near 50S148E
at 1. Forecast trough 44S157E 49S158E to low 963hPa near 51S154E at 180000UTC,
then just low 965hPa near 53S157E at 180600UTC, low 966hPa near 55S162E at
181200UTC, and then east of area thereafter.

AREA AFFECTED
Bounded by 44S160E 43S144E 48S131E 50S130E 53S134E 52S139E 52S160E 44S160E.

FORECAST
Southwesterly quarter winds 30/47 knots within 540nm west of trough, and
shifting northwesterly quarter 30/40 knots within 180nm east of trough, and
also turning clockwise winds 30/47 knots within 60nm of northern semicircle of
low. Wind speeds Rough seas, rising to very rough to high seas west of trough
and within 120nm of northern semicircle of low. Low to moderate swell.
