GALE WARNING 12 FOR SOUTHEASTERN AREA

SITUATION AT 200000UTC
Vigorous flow associated with a trough 31S160E 39S160E to low 993hPa near
41S158E to 45S158E. Forecast 31S162E to low 995hPa near 42S160E to 45S160E at
200600UTC, 32S162E 39S163E to low 1001hPa near 42S162E at 201200UTC, and then
moving east of area.

AREA AFFECTED
Bounded by 39S159E 39S154E 45S155E 45S161E 35S166E 31S161E 39S159E.

FORECAST
Northeasterly quarter winds within 180nm east of trough, and clockwise winds
within 240nm of low. Wind speeds 30/40 knots, increasing to 35/45 knots within
120nm of low in western quadrant. Winds easing below 34 knots by 201800UTC.
Rough to very rough seas, rising to high seas within 120nm of low in western
quadrant. Moderate to heavy swell.
