Total rainfall was 117 mm, 255% higher than the 1980 to 2015 average of 33 mm. Rainfall was the highest for September in the past 117 years.
Highest on record rainfall occurred across 41% of the area, mainly in the centre and south.
Very much above average rainfall occurred across 57% of the area, spread throughout the drainage division.
Above average rainfall occurred across 2% of the area, predominantly in the southeast.
Average rainfall was limited to less than 1% of the area.
Below average rainfall, very much below average and lowest on record rainfall did not occur.

Highest on record flows occurred at 36% of the sites. These were located throughout the drainage division, except the southwest. At 21 sites streamflows were the highest for September since 1980 due to high rainfall.
Very much above average flows occurred at 37% of the sites. Most of these were located in the northeast and southeast.
Above average flows occurred at 19% of the sites. These were located in the northeast and southwest.
Average flows occurred at 5% of the sites, located in the far northeast and southwest.
Below average flows occurred at two sites. These were located in the northeast and southeast.
Very much below average and lowest on record flows did not occur.
