Highest on record rainfall was limited to less than 1% of the area.
Very much above average rainfall was limited to less than 1% of the area.
Above average rainfall occurred across 20% of the area, mainly in the east and the south.
Average rainfall occurred across 72% of the area, spread throughout the drainage division.
Below average rainfall occurred across 7% of the area, mainly in the north and the southwest.
Very much below average rainfall was limited to less than 1% of the area.
Lowest on record rainfall did not occur.

Highest on record flows occurred at 24% of the sites. These were located in the central east. At 14 sites streamflows were the highest for October since 1980 due to high rainfall in the previous month.
Very much above average flows occurred at 45% of the sites. These were located throughout the drainage division.
Above average flows occurred at 21% of the sites. Most of these were located in the north and northeast.
Average flows occurred at 9% of the sites. Most of these were located in the northeast.
Below average flows did not occur.
Very much below average flow occurred in the Gwydir River downstream of Copeton Dam in the northeast which had the second lowest streamflow for October since 1980.
Lowest on record flows did not occur.
