Hello from the Bureau with your National Weather Forecast video for this coming weekend, starting tomorrow, Saturday the 20th of June.
Let's take a look at the weather around the country first before we get into each state.
We can see a rainband along the east coast that will be gradually weakening and moving offshore as we get through the weekend.
Also in the south-east, we have this cold front and low-pressure system, which will be sweeping across the south-eastern states tomorrow, bringing plenty of showers and much cooler air to those states.
Meanwhile, in the west of the country, you see this ridge of high pressure which is extending up into northern Australia as well and bringing generally fine and settled conditions in the west.
Let's take a look around the states now, starting with Queensland.
We can see that rainband bringing patchy rain and some showers to central and eastern districts south of about Townsville.
Also in the mix, some coastal showers in the south-easterly flow.
Temperatures quite cool out in the west, although tending milder as you get closer to the coast. In Brisbane, a partly cloudy top of 24°C with the chance of an evening shower.
Heading down to New South Wales now, showers possible and a cool day across much of New South Wales, although remaining dry and mostly sunny across the east coast from about Wollongong to Newcastle.
Sydney, a sunny top of 21°C.
In Canberra, the chance of a morning shower and then a partly cloudy top of 14°C for Saturday.
Moving down to Victoria, you can see that cold front sweeping across the state, bringing showers on and south of the ranges at first, but then extending up into northern Victoria during the daytime.
Melbourne, a cloudy and showery top of 14°C, with those cool southerly winds extending across the state.
Moving down to Tasmania, a cool day there as well, although showers mainly restricted to the southern and western coasts.
Hobart, the chance of a shower in the early morning and then a mostly dry day with a cool top of 12°C.
Moving up to South Australia, we can see that cold front again, bringing plenty of showers to the agricultural areas and then mostly dry further north.
Adelaide, a top of 15°C with some passing showers during the day.
Moving over to the west, we can see this ridge of high pressure which is keeping things dry and settled. Quite a cool morning again, with some fog and frost in the mix across the south.
Perth, a cloudy top of 18°C.
Moving up to the tropical north then, a mostly dry and sunny day across the region. Just the slight chance of a shower about the north-eastern Top End.
Darwin, a sunny top of 32°C.
Looking ahead to the weather on Sunday, we can see some showers still around much of the east coast and also about the south-east of the country, and also about the south-west, where this cold front will be sweeping across the South West Land Division of Western Australia.
Inland, much drier conditions and settled under that high-pressure system.
That's all from us for now. You can always find more details on our website or our app, but otherwise have a great weekend. We'll see you next time.
