Welcome.
In this video, we'll share our top tips for using the new website. These quick steps will help you get the best experience. Let's get started.
Clear your browser cache and refresh.
First, go to the three dots on the top right and then delete browsing data. Then a new page will open. Click clear now, then close that tab. Finally, refresh your page.
Browsers store old files that can slow things down. Clearing the cache makes sure you see the latest information.
Find your rain radar.
First select rain radar and weather maps from the home screen. Then type your location in the search box. I'm going to type in Mount Isa then scroll down.
The weather map shows where rain is happening near you. You can learn more about the radar and map functions in the help section. You can also use search to find weather information and maps for any location.
Select the magnifying glass at the top right, then type the location name. You don't need to add the state or territory and don't include words like radar. You can also search for topics like sea level. For more tips, check navigation and search in help.
Want quick access to your favourite places?
Click the star in the top banner to manage favourites. You can save as many locations as you like, and your favourites will appear on your homepage.
Use page tabs to access more information.
These tabs are under the title. For example, location pages have tabs for today, 7 days and past. The rain radar and weather map has tabs for charts and more maps where you can find MetEye and satellite viewer and more radars has links to Doppler wind and 24-hour rainfall maps.
To access coastal and specialised services, go to the weather and climate menu and select specialised forecasts and observations. Here you'll find coastal forecasts, river conditions, heatwave forecasts, tropical cyclone info, and more.
