Severe Tropical Cyclone Fina impacted parts of the Top End bringing damaging winds and heavy rainfall yesterday as rain and thunderstorms impacted much of South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales.
Sunday will see another round of thunderstorms for much of the country with severe thunderstorms bringing large hail, damaging winds and heavy rainfall to Queensland and New South Wales. Showers and thunderstorms will also impact southern WA and much of central Australia.
Monday will see heat spread across much of NT and Queensland with severe to extreme heatwave conditions. Thunderstorms will also be widespread across central and eastern Australia with severe thunderstorms in parts of Queensland and New South Wales. While elsewhere will be dry hot and sunny tending cooler in WA.
Thunderstorms will be widespread across northern and eastern Australia on Tuesday with severe thunderstorms possible in Queensland and New South Wales. Heatwave conditions will also continue across much of the NT and Queensland with temperatures in the low to mid 40s, while Tropical Cyclone Fina will linger off the Kimberley coast and southern Australia will be dry, mild to warm.
Wednesday will see showers and thunderstorms continue to impact much of northern and eastern Australia as well as Tasmania and Victoria while it will be dry in South Australia and WA. Severe heatwave conditions will also be ongoing in Queensland, but it will be much cooler in the south.
Thunderstorms will contract to NT and Queensland on Thursday while clearing further south. While cooler drier weather will continue across southern Australia, but showers will continue in Tas and southern Vic.
Friday will see a low and trough develop over South Australia bringing patchy rain and isolated thunderstorms to NT and South Australia with thunderstorms also ongoing through northern Queensland, but the rest of the country will be mostly dry warm to hot and sunny, though once again, cooler in the south.
