Dry with warm days and cool nights
Summary
Preliminary Bureau of Meteorology data suggest that September 2007 was dry across Victoria, with warm days and cool nights. Average rainfall was less than half the normal in most Districts. Daytime temperatures were mostly between 1 and 2 degrees above normal, whilst overnight temperatures were mostly about half a degree below normal.

Rainfall
The wettest overall was 228.8 mm at Mt Baw Baw. The driest overall was 3.2 mm at Mildura Airport. The wettest single day 66.6 mm at Mt Baw Baw on the 12th. Some sites had their lowest total September rainfall on record. Some sites had their lowest total September rainfall for at least 20 years.
Temperature
The hottest day was 28.6°C at Mildura Airport on the 13th, followed by 28.6°C at Mildura Airport on the 25th. The warmest days on average were 22.3°C at Mildura Airport. The coolest days on average were 4.1°C at Mt Hotham. The coldest day was −0.9°C at Mt Baw Baw on the 3rd.
The coldest night was −7.7°C at Mt Hotham on the 4th. The coolest nights on average were −1.9°C at Mt Hotham. The warmest nights on average were 10.2°C at Gabo Island Lighthouse. The warmest night was 15.4°C at Mildura Airport on the 26th.
