Tuesday, 1 May 2007 - Monthly Climate Summary for Western Australia - Product code IDCKGC11R0
A series of cold fronts and northwest cloud bands brought some relieving rain to parts of the Southwest Land Division and an area from the south and west Pilbara to the north Gascoyne, with above to very much above average rainfall. Some locations registered their wettest April on record, however the mean rainfall across the state this month was near average.
For Western Australia as a whole, both the mean maximum temperature and the mean minimum temperature were above the standard long term (1961−1990) average with anomalies of 0.66°C and 0.36°C respectively.

This statement has been prepared based on information available at 12 pm on Tuesday 1 May 2007. Some checks have been made on the data, but it is possible that results will change as new information becomes available.
Normals are long-term
means based on observations from all available years of record, which vary widely
from site to site. They are not shown for sites with less than 30 years of record,
as they cannot then be calculated reliably.
The median
is sometimes more representative than the mean
of "normal" rain.
