A line of thunderstorms over central and eastern parts of Western Australia is associated with a slow-moving surface trough. Patchy high cloud also extends from this system across South Australia and the Great Australian Bight while a cold front is moving over waters to the south of WA.
Most of the remainder of Australia is cloud free although some high cloud is drifting across Tasmania and isolated thunderstorms can be seen near the tip of Cape York Peninsula.
