A cloud band over eastern parts of Western Australia is associated with a slow-moving surface trough. Patchy high cloud extends from this system across the Great Australian Bight and over southern parts of South Australia and New South Wales.
Cloud from a cold front has reached southwest WA.
Scattered low cloud can be seen near the Queensland east coast in the southeasterly trade winds.
Some thunderstorm activity is near the tip of Cape York Peninsula.
