The following plot shows the latest The following plot shows the current sea surface temperature (SST) and sea surface temperature anomaly (SSTA) index forecasts from the Bureau of Meteorology's climate forecast system, ACCESS-S. The index is defined as the spatial average of values in the region shown in the blue colour on the map to the right of the index plot. It is an indicator of average conditions in the area. The number of grid cells included in each index is indicated underneath each map. Click on figures for a larger view.
