Auswave model wave forecast maps
The Bureau of Meteorology operates a 7-day Global wave model called Auswave. Wave forecasts are available for a number of sub-regions of Australian waters using the high resolution Auswave Regional model.
Bass Strait
Bass Strait is a notorious stretch of water between Victoria and Tasmania. Extreme wave heights occur often and opposing tidal currents may increase wave steepness.
