A high pressure system over the state will move east tonight to be over NSW Thursday morning. A weak trough will move over South Australian waters on Thursday. A cold front will pass over the south on Friday followed by a southwesterly flow that is expected to persist through the weekend owing to a ridge of high pressure extending over northern parts of the state.

Thursday 18 September
- Winds
- Northerly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots south of Salt Creek during the morning and early afternoon. Winds turning west to northwesterly during the afternoon and evening.

- Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore during the morning.
- Swell
- Southwesterly 3 to 4 metres, decreasing to 3 metres during the morning, then tending westerly 2 to 3 metres around midday.
