A significant low pressure system moves over waters to the south of SA on Monday and Tuesday, reaching western Bass Strait Tuesday afternoon. Another low pressure system moves over waters to the south on Wednesday. A ridge of high pressure develops over western and northern parts as a series of troughs and fronts move over the south later in the week.

- North to northeasterly 20 to 30 knots, reaching up to 35 knots offshore in the late morning. Winds turning northwesterly in the early afternoon.

- Southwesterly 2.5 to 3 metres, decreasing to 1.5 to 2 metres during the afternoon.

Gale Warning for Tuesday for Upper South East Coast

- Northwesterly 25 to 30 knots turning west to southwesterly 20 to 30 knots early in the morning. Winds reaching up to 35 knots in the evening.

- Southwesterly 1.5 metres, tending westerly 1 to 2 metres during the morning, then increasing to 2 to 3 metres during the afternoon.
