A trough will approach from the west and move over the state later today and early Thursday. Another trough will cross Tasmania later on Thursday, with a west to northwesterly stream expected through Friday and then a cold front to brush the south of the state on Saturday morning.

- Winds
- Northerly 10 to 15 knots turning west to northwesterly 15 to 20 knots during the morning and early afternoon. Winds reaching up to 25 knots near Eddystone Point in the late morning and early afternoon.

- 1 to 1.5 metres, increasing to 1 to 2 metres during the morning.
- Swell
- Northeasterly 1 to 1.5 metres, decreasing to around 1 metre during the morning.
