  • Annual rainfall in the Burdekin region was above average for the fourth consecutive year, with the 2023–24 wet season accounting for 86% of the region's total annual rainfall.
  • Total storage volume in the Burdekin region increased by 4.4% during the reporting year, finishing at 96.0% full on 30 June 2024.
  • Water taken from surface water and groundwater resources for consumptive use in the Burdekin region was 822 GL, around 26% more than last year.
