South East Queensland: Region overview

The region is located in the southeast coast of Queensland. Its extends from the New South Wales–Queensland State border in the south, the Pacific Ocean in the east, the top of the Great Dividing Range in the west, and the headwaters of the Brisbane River in the north. Mountains exist along the western and southern edges of the region, while coastal plains dominate the east. The main rivers in the region are the Albert, Bremer, Brisbane and Logan.
