7-day forecasts are now provided for 30 additional in Tasmania locations. These include text descriptions of weather from surrounding weather forecast district.

October 2011 Design changes to District and Coastal Waters Forecast pages implemented for South Australia
Summary of design changes
In October 2011, the design changes were applied to all South Australian Forecast products.

September 2011 Additional Rainfall Forecast Information for Melbourne, Albury-Wodonga and Mildura
Summary of design changes
From September 21, rainfall information for the Melbourne, Albury-Wodonga and Mildura forecasts will be presented as chance of any rain and rainfall amount for day one of the forecast.

June 2011 Design changes to District and Coastal Waters Forecast pages for NSW, ACT, VIC and TAS
COASTAL WATERS FORECASTS
- Link added to State warning summary (eg. so that people can read the full details of relevant warnings)
- Full dates given for all days (eg. to help match the day with the date)
- New map selection (eg. to help navigate to the forecast for neighbouring coastal zones)
- Weather elements shown on separate lines (eg. for easier reading)
- New links to radio broadcast schedule (eg. for listening to the forecast whilst on the water)
ALPINE FORECASTS IN NSW
- Snowy Mountains forecast district layout has also been updated
- The Alpine Centres forecast page for NSW has been replaced with individual town forecast pages for Thredbo and Perisher
DISTRICT FORECASTS
- Link added to State warning summary, (eg. so that people can read the full details of relevant warnings)
- Full dates given for all days (eg. to help match the day with the date)
- New right hand menu (eg. for navigating to 7-day forecasts for nearby locations or areas)

December 2010 Design changes to town and metropolitan forecast pages for NSW, ACT and VIC
Summary of design changes
- Cleaner and more compact layout, providing improved readability of each day's information.
- Full dates given for days 2-7
- An icon to indicate the weather forecast, plus a text précis.
- Max and min temperatures more prominent
- Rainfall information presented as Chance of Rain (percentage and image indicating 10% increments) and total rainfall amount (mm)
- Issue Date and time will be in bold to indicate any (non-routine) update to the forecast
- New right hand menu for navigating to locations within the Metropolitan area along with temperature forecasts

This new design aims to optimise the weather forecast products for modern, standards-compliant web browsers.
Please note that old browsers may display the new pages in an unexpected way.
Availability
These design changes are available in NSW, ACT, Victoria and Tasmania (by mid 2011), as part of the national roll-out of the Next Generation Forecast and Warning System. The changes will take effect in SA in 2011 and the remaining States and Territories will follow.
