Daly: Key findings
For the water account period 1 July 2017–30 June 2018
- A monsoon trough in late January 2018 contributed to above-average wet season rainfall.
- Heavy rainfall associated with the monsoon trough caused a major flood in the Daly River.
- Below-average rainfall for most of the other months of the wet season resulted in a drop in aquifer storage, which follows a large increase in aquifer storage last year.
