- Total annual rainfall during the 2017–18 year was the second lowest on record since 1910.
- Poor rainfall led to low streamflows and storage inflows across the region; end of year storage volume dropped by 24% from last year.
- Water use increased from the previous year, reflecting the very dry conditions across the region.
