Daly: Key findings

For the water account period 1 July 2019–30 June 2020

  • Total annual rainfall was below average and the lowest in more than 50 years.
  • The dry conditions resulted in an annual drop in aquifer storage for the third consecutive year.
  • Water use was 62 GL, more than 30% higher than last year, reflecting the dry conditions.
