National Water Account 2015

National overview: Key findings

This Summary highlights broad trends and findings across the ten National Water Account regions. These regions account for 75% of Australia's population and approximately 70–80% of Australia's total water use. Continued dry conditions across much of Australia through 2014–15 contributed to a third consecutive year of reduced inflows to storages and increased demand on the available resources in many regions.
