South East Queensland
37.1 Surface water allocation trade within region
Supporting Information
In Queensland the trade of allocations after announcements have been made is called temporary trading or seasonal water assignment but was previously know as temporary transfers. This represents the assignment to another person of part or all of the water allocation available under a water entitlement for a water year. Both supplemented and unsupplemented water entitlements can be seasonally assigned in Queensland.
The following table presents the volumes of water that were seasonally assigned in the South East Queensland (SEQ) region during the 2010–11 year.
