Method
Southern Rural Water meter surface water diversions under all high and low reliability water shares, and supply by agreements in the Melbourne region.
- Diversion volumes for high and low reliability water shares were obtained from the Victorian Water Register.
- Diversion volumes for supply by agreements were obtained directly from Southern Rural Water.

Comparative year
In the 2011 Account, the volume of surface water diverted under supply by agreements was incorrectly reported as zero. This error has been corrected in the 2012 Account. Consequently, the volume has been restated from 6,512 ML (as published in the 2011 Account) to 6,618 ML as shown in the following table.
