The volume recognised in the water accounting statements (24,686 ML) represents the total surface water diverted from Mundaring Reservoir to the Kalgoorlie Goldfields and Agricultural region, located outside the Perth region boundary, during the 2011–12 year.

Method
The volume of water diverted from Mundaring Reservoir for water supply to the Kalgoorlie Goldfields and Agricultural region is measured at the flow meter at Mundaring Reservoir on an almost continuous basis.

Nil.
Uncertainty information
Expected error for water meters is +/– 5%.
The Department of Water requires that all water meters, when tested under in situ conditions, must be within 5% accuracy across the full flow rate range (Guidelines for water meter installation 2009).
