The volume presented for this item (434 ML) represents the volume of entitlement trades for high reliability and low reliability water shares in the Melbourne region during 2010–11. The volume includes approved trades only. Trades in progress at the end of 2010–11 year are not included.
The following table presents the surface water entitlement trade in the Melbourne region during 2010–11. Total entitlement trades were relatively small during 2010–11, with 434 ML traded across 30 trades. Trade of 183 ML of high reliability water shares within the Werribee Irrigation District, and 110 ML of high-reliability water shares within the Bacchus Marsh Irrigation District were the major contributors to entitlement trade during 2010–11.
