19.17 Adjustment and forfeiture of urban claim on surface water
Forfeiture of allocation for the line item is 597,366 ML.
This line item reflects unused portion of the allocation/claim associated with the urban water store for the urban water utilities. The volume for the line item is the difference between calculated volumetric allocation/claim stated in line item 11.18 (1,038,355 ML) and diversions stated in line item 11.12 (440,989 ML).
Entitlement information was extracted from Water Sharing Plan for the Greater Metropolitan Unregulated River Water Sources; databases and water management licences for Goulburn Mulwaree Council, Lithgow City Council, Shoalhaven City Council and Wingecarribee Shire Council.

Water management licences issued to the urban holders by the NSW Office of Water applicable to the 2011–12 year did not make provisions for the carry-over of any remaining allocation at the end of the year. Therefore, forfeiture of allocation on flows for this entitlement category is the difference between the announced allocation/claim and measured diversions from the storages for the 2011–12 year.
