19.17 Adjustment and forfeiture of urban claim on surface water

The volume reported (85,719 ML) represents the forfeiture of water allocated under SA Water's licence to divert surface water for the purposes of public water supply from the Western Mount Lofty Ranges Prescribed Water Resources Area. According to the licence conditions, carry-over of unused water from year to year is not permitted. Therefore the volume reported at this line item is the difference between the volume allocated during the year and the volume diverted during the year as shown in the following table.
