Supporting information
The volumetric value for the line item for the 2012–13 year was 68,210 ML. The line item represents diversions made under water rights other than entitlements. These rights include land owner basic rights, riparian rights, and stock and domestic rights. The following table summarises the information for the line item for the Murray–Darling Basin (MDB) region.

The above table shows diversions made under other statutory rights in water resource plan areas within New South Wales. No information was available for the other sustainable diversion limit areas for this line item.
Quantification approach
Data source
See the 'Data source' stated in the table provided under 'Supporting information'.
Provided by
Bureau of Meteorology (the Bureau).
Method
Diversion volumes were estimated to be equal to the value of the total volumetric basic landholder right as stipulated in the water sharing plan at commencement of the plan.
Assumptions, limitations, caveats and approximations
For New South Wales, no information on measured diversion volumes of other statutory right was available. The diversion volumes were estimated as described in above 'Method'.
Uncertainty information
Comparative year
An error correction resulted in the restatement of the 2011–12 year volume. An error resulted in overestimation of diversion volumes related to other statutory right for NSW Border Rivers SDL area in the 2012 Account. Associated correction was -380 ML. The respective volumes associated with the change are detailed in the following table.
Segment | 2013 Account volume for the 2011–12 year (ML) |
