Severe Tropical Cyclone Alison

5 - 10 April 1986

Summary

Alison was a westerly moving tropical cyclone in the Indian Ocean and passed just north of Cocos Islands where gale-force winds were briefly registered. Alison reached category three intensity as it crossed 90°E and still developing when it moved into the Mauritius area of responsibility and was renamed Krisostoma.
