TC Elma formed on the 26 February near 9°S 88°E and tracked southward until 3 March when it weakened below cyclone intensity and moved clockwise until it dissipated on the 5. It reached peak intensity (965 hPa) on 1 March.
No impact was associated with TC Elma .
