Summary

Tropical cyclone Jane was a small storm that maintained a southeast track throughout its lifetime. It weakened after 13 April and filled on 14 April. Strong squally winds approaching gale force were reported from Cocos Island for some hours. Several thunder squalls were experienced during this time with a maximum gust of 96 km/h. Jane was not an intense cyclone and the central pressure was probably above 980 hPa throughout its lifetime.
