Summary
Tropical Cyclone Kirrily formed in the Indian Ocean about 350 kilometres east of the Cocos Islands and moved initially east southeast towards the Western Australian coastline. On 27 January Kirrily turned southwest away from the coastline and weakened, eventually shearing apart and dissipating well to the west of Exmouth.
