The volume recognised in the water accounting statements (20,545 ML) represents groundwater extraction in unincorporated areas in the Melbourne region. The volume consists of predominately irrigation extraction, but also includes portion of commercial and industrial extraction.

The volume of Groundwater extraction – other lumped basic rights does not include extractions from the Kinglake area, as this volume cannot be quantified with representational faithfulness.
