Documents incorporated by reference in the Water Regulations 2008
The Water Act 2007 (Section 256) allows the Water Regulations 2008 to reference and give effect to certain material without it being explicitly 'written into' the Regulations. Section 256 allows such material to be modified over time.
Certain documents published by the Bureau are referenced in Regulation 1.06 and their contents have effect as though they were included in the Regulations themselves.
Currently, there are three documents published by the Bureau incorporated by reference in the Regulations. These are:
- Commercially Sensitive Sites
- Persons and Classes of Persons
- Metadata and Contextual Information Requirements
Changes to the incorporated documents
The documents incorporated by reference in the Regulations may change over time.
Read the Bureau's policies for managing changes to each of the incorporated documents. These policies conform with a set of overarching principles which we apply when maintaining and developing Part 7 of the Water Regulations.
Please note: the Administrative Instrument is not incorporated by reference in the regulations.
