Documents incorporated by reference in the Water Regulations 2008
The Water Act 2007 (Section 256) allows the Water Regulations 2008 to reference and give effect to certain material without it being explicitly 'written into' the regulations. This material can be changed over time.
The Bureau publishes certain documents that are referenced in regulation 1.06. The contents of these documents have effect as though they were included in the regulations themselves.
Currently, there are four documents incorporated by reference in the regulations. These are:
- Commercially Sensitive Sites
- Persons and Classes of Persons
- Metadata and Contextual Information Requirements
- Urban Water Management Information Requirements
Changes to the incorporated documents
The documents incorporated by reference in the regulations may change over time.
Read our policies for managing changes to these documents. These policies conform with a set of principles which we apply when maintaining and developing Part 7 of the Water Regulations.
Please note: the Administrative Instrument for specifying format is not incorporated in the regulations.
