Water Regulations 2008 - Persons and Sites

The Water Regulations 2008 were amended in July 2009 to remove Schedule 2 Persons and Schedule 4 Commercially Sensitive Sites. These Schedules are replaced by the documents, Persons and Classes of Persons (70Kb - PDF) and Commercially Sensitive Sites (77Kb - PDF).

This amendment allows us to update the Persons and Sites lists more easily and makes the latest versions available from this website.

Does this affect my organisation?

The amendment does not affect the operation of the Water Regulations or your organisation's requirements in the Regulations. It simply alters the way we manage changes to the lists of Persons and Sites.

Why was the amendment needed?

Under previous legislative arrangements, amending the schedules required a lengthy and sometimes inefficient process resulting in the list of names often being out of date as organisations changed their names, merged or split.

Lists of organisations required to supply water information

Organisations required to give water information to the Bureau are listed in the document titled Persons and Classes of Persons. This document will be updated at least every six months and any changes will be listed on our register (122Kb - PDF).

Register of changes to the online schedules

The latest version of the Persons and Classes of Person and the Commercially Sensitive Site documents are available on our website. Each document has a release date and a version number displayed on the cover.
