4.2 Irrigation scheme inter-region claim on water

Barossa Infrastructure Limited (BIL) is the only irrigation scheme in the Adelaide region that owns a Class 3 water access entitlement (WAE) to shares in the River Murray consumptive pool for South Australia. River Murray water is transferred to BIL via SA Water infrastructure. More details regarding the entitlement can be found in the Water Allocation Plan for the River Murray Prescribed Watercourse.
Carry-over of unused water allocated against BIL's entitlement to River Murray Water was not permitted by the Government (BIL 2013); therefore, the volume reported at 30 June 2013 was 0 ML.
The irrigation scheme inter-region claim at 30 June 2013 was calculated as shown in the following table.

Method
The BIL annual report 2013 details that carry-over of unused allocated water was not permitted by the South Australian Govenment.
