11.15 Increase of inter-region claim on water by urban water system

Supporting information

The volume of 1,778 ML stated in this line item represents the entitlement held on the Fish River Water Supply Scheme by Lithgow City Council.

Lithgow City Council has an annual maximum allocation entitlement from the Fish River Water Supply Scheme to supply water to their storages. This entitlement is subject to a number of operating rules and restrictions depending on levels in the supply storages (Oberon Dam and Duckmaloi Weir). There is also the ability to carry-over a portion of the entitlement into the following year.

No restrictions were placed on the scheme over the entire 2012–13 year.

Comparative year

In previous accounts the maximum allocation entitlement held by Lithgow City Council was reported in 9.15 Increase of inter-region claim on water. As Lithgow City Council is considered an urban water supplier, this volume has been moved to the urban water store and reported here.

Therefore, the volume in this line item has been restated to 1,778 ML for the 2011–12 year.
