16.5.3.5 Groundwater allocation extraction—individual holder for stock and domestic

Supporting information

The volume reported in the water accounting statement (40 ML) represents groundwater extraction associated with stock and domestic allocations in the Northern Adelaide Plains Prescribed Wells Area (PWA). Stock and domestic groundwater allocations only occur in the Northern Adelaide Plains PWA when there is a request to extract water for stock and domestic water purposes on a bore licenced for another purpose, typically irrigation. Stock and domestic extraction in the Adelaide region is more usually associated with a basic right.
