Supporting information

The volume reported in the water accounting statement (150,000 ML) represents the annual allocation associated with the River Murray Class 6 (formerly metropolitan Adelaide) licence, which is administered as a share in the River Murray consumptive pool for South Australia. The Class 6 entitlement holds 130,000,000 shares in the consumptive pool; the value for each share can exceed 1 kilolitre (SAMDBNRMB 2009).

The annual allocation for River Murray entitlement s for 2009–10 was announced on 3 August 2009 and published in the South Australian Government Gazette. The water allocation rate for the Class 6 entitlement during 2009–10 was set at 1.1538 kilolitre per share (i.e. 150,000 ML for the year).

The annual allocation for 2009–10 is presented in the table below with the other line items relevant to the River Murray Class 6 entitlement.
