South Australian Department for Water: Water Information and Licensing Management Application (WILMA) database and Drillhole Enquiry System.
South Australian Department for Water.
Groundwater commercial and industrial allocations for 2009–10 were obtained from the WILMA database for water management areas in the Adelaide region: Barossa Prescribed Water Resource Area (PWRA), McLaren Vale Prescribed Wells Area (PWA) and Northern Adelaide Plains PWA.
Purpose information was also extracted for Northern Adelaide Plains PWA and Barossa PWRA. This information was not available for the McLaren Vale PWA. For the McLaren Vale PWA, irrigation licences were identified from the bore purpose recorded at the time of construction in the Drillhole Enquiry System.
Nil.
For McLaren Vale PWA, it was assumed that the bore purpose recorded at the time of construction correctly represents the purpose of the associated groundwater licence.
