Additional information on the above table:

  • New South Wales data are for Murrumbidgee – NSW only.
  • The New South Wales Murrumbidgee volume represents the adjustment and forfeiture of allocation associated with bulk irrigation conveyance licences within the Coleambally and Murrumbidgee irrigation areas. These conveyance licences are held by irrigation trusts in order to account for losses within their distribution systems.
  • The New South Wales Murray volume represents the adjustment and forfeiture of allocation associated with the regulated river conveyance losses in the Murray region.
  • No information available in water audit monitoring (WAM) report for other New South Wales irrigation trusts.
  • The adjustment and forfeiture volume for regulated river conveyance is shown under Line item 26.1.9.7 Adjustment and forfeiture of allocation on regulated flows – other lumped holders.
  • This class or purpose is not available in Australian Capital Territory, Queensland and South Australia.
  • No information available for Victoria see Line item 26.1.9.7 Adjustment and forfeiture of allocation on regulated flows – other lumped holders.

Method

New South Wales Office of Water supplied data are prepared on a water balance approach. It implies that the movement of values during the year will balance the opening and closing balances. The forfeitures and adjustments have been checked to ensure that the closing balance reconciles.

Uncertainty

The uncertainty value for the New South Wales data provided in the line item is +/–10%. The uncertainty on the adjustment and forfeiture of the allocation announced is due to the uncertainty attached to the allocation announcement (Line item 25.1.9.1 Allocation announcement on regulated flows – bulk irrigator holder) and to the allocation diversion (Line item 14.7.9.1 Allocation diversion of regulated flows – bulk irrigator holder).
