Unregulated channels in the Perth region include the upper reaches of the three major surface water resources within the region: Swan-Canning River system, Murray River catchment and the Harvey River catchment. These channels are located on the Darling Range, upstream of the major reservoirs. Due to a lack of available data, the volume of water within the unregulated channels cannot be quantified accurately and thus is not recognised as a water asset.
