Western Australian Department of Water.
The Water Corporation manages the urban water supply system, which is subject to licence agreements for water extraction from the bore fields. One of the conditions of the licence agreement is that the maximum amount of extraction for each year is announced by the Minister for Water on an annual basis. The announced allocation is made after a review, by the Department of Water, of aquifer levels in the Perth Region in October of the reporting year.
The total groundwater allocation announcement is assumed to be equal to 100% of the annual entitlement.
