Queensland Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM), licensed discharge data stored and managed in the DERM Point Source Database.

Method

The Point Source Database contains both wastewater treatment plant discharges, and industrial and commercial discharges. The Point Source Database was queried for commercial and industrial discharge volumes in the 2009–10 period.

Uncertainty

Derived from measured data. DERM reliability and accuracy rating is A2 (see glossary).

Approximations,  assumptions, caveats and limitations

The data in the Point Source Database have been measured and reported by holders of discharge licences. DERM has accepted these measured discharge values in good faith.
