Metered data were obtained from the WMS database for all unregulated diversions for each resource operation plan within the SEQ region for 2009–10. Diversions by urban water service providers who hold entitlements were identified and removed from the data-set to leave all non-urban unregulated entitlement diversions. Details on diversions by urban water service providers can be found in line item 14.6.5.4 Diversion of unregulated flows – urban holder.

It was assumed that all metered diversion data within the WMS database were correct and up to date at the time of data extraction.
DERM has accepted the data provided by meter readers in good faith.
