Quantification Approach

Data Source

See the Data source stated in the table provided under Supporting information.

Provided by

Murray–Darling Basin Authority.

Method

Values were extracted from jurisdictional water sharing plans (see the table in Supporting information). Where a water sharing plan has not been issued, the value was supplied by the NSW Office of Water Climate and Modelling.

Assumptions, Limitations, Caveats and Approximations

See Additional comments in the breakdown table in Supporting information.

When water sharing plans have been used as data sources, the right has been estimated at the commencement of the plan.

Uncertainty Information

The uncertainty estimate was not quantified.

Comparative year

The line item corresponds to the line item R1.1.1 – Surface water basic right (stock and domestic) that was reported in the 2010 Account.
